Celebrating 30 years of recognizing the best in innovation and excellence in the development of new products and services, The Edison Awards announced last night at the New York City Gala that Orion Labs, a leader in voice communication, was voted as a Silver Winner for Voice & Hearing Technology. Founder and CEO Jesse Robbins joined hundreds of top executives of inventive companies to acknowledge the hard work of all the award winners and nominees.

Being an Edison Award winner is a major honor for companies who are focused on innovating and evolving their business. Named after Thomas Edison, best known for unique inventions, new product developments, and innovative achievements, the Edison Awards pay homage to his life-changing legacy.

Onyx makes it easier than ever to instantly talk with friends, family, and colleagues without taking you away from what you are doing. In addition to his extraordinary accomplishments in applied science, Thomas Edison is credited with several basic science breakthroughs. One in particular, called “The Edison Effect,” came about as Edison was undertaking experiments on the early incandescent electric light. The Consumer Electronics & Information Technology category honors Edison’s achievement as he gave birth to the modern Electronics and Computer industries. Orion Labs was chosen as one of the main finalists under Voice & Hearing Technology sub-category.
